Physiotherapy has been proven to be effective for the assessment, diagnosis and treatments of pain & injuries, the prevention of injury and promoting health and wellbeing. Learn short and long term solutions for your optimal health and performance. An extensive assessment will help us to determine what modalities (manual therapy, mobilizations, acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, IASTM, tailored exercises) will be most beneficial to you. Your health and recovery is my number one goal.

Pelvic Physiotherapy

Pelvic health physiotherapy involves assessment and treatment of problems that can arise from the pelvic floor or surrounding structures (such as abdominal wall, low back and surgical scars). Research suggests pelvic health physiotherapy as a first line of treatment for pelvic floor dysfunctions and as an alternative to medicine or surgery where indicated.

Taranpreet has been practicing physiotherapy in Ontario since 2017. She graduated from Maharishi Markandeshwar University, India, in 2011 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. Prior to that, she graduated with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy from Kurukshetra University, India, in 2009.

She has experience working in hospital and clinic settings with both preoperative and postoperative patients, as well as patients with workplace injuries, accident injuries, and musculoskeletal injuries.

She works with the patients to create realistic goals and then work together, helping patients achieve them. This is to help them manage their symptoms and be able to return to activities of daily living. This can be done through manual therapy, myofascial release, custom exercises, and patient education.

In her free time, she likes to experiment with healthy cooking, go for a hike, and explore nature.

Hi! My name is Roop. I am a passionate orthopedic, sports and pelvic physiotherapist. I have been working as a physiotherapist for over 10 years after completing Masters in Physiotherapy from University of East London, England.

I work with patients who have orthopedic injuries, acute/chronic sports injuries, pelvic health dysfunctions concussions, vestibular dysfunctions, and other post-surgical conditions.

I am very passionate about integrating individualized exercises, manual therapy and lifestyle practices in different phases of life for overall benefit. I love to support people of all ages, to improve their quality of life.

I am a big advocate of evidence informed practice, so I spend a lot of time on research and advanced courses (nerd alert!) to stay up to date on the most recent treatment strategies that can improve my care towards my patients.

I believe that pelvic health is very important but unfortunately it is not much talked about! Pelvic floor dysfunctions can affect a person’s physical, mental, emotional and social well being. I try to understand the person by asking questions about sleep, lifestyle habits, diet and self care in addition to body part assessment. I believe in holistic care and my mantra is-

Treat the whole person, not just the condition.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, exercising, travelling and spending time with my family.
